Understanding the Basics of Singing Seminar launched in Europe,
South Africa, Australia and U.S.A.

Due to public demand the long awaited Understanding the Basics of Singing Seminar
has finally been released to eager audiences in Europe, South
Africa, Australia and the U.S.A. with the first five seminars scheduled for delivery in Johannesburg, Munich, Vienna, Boston and Melbourne in March, April, May, August and September of 2008 respectively!
This seminar cuts through all the confusion on the subject by explaining what works and what does not work when it comes to learning how to sing well enough to enjoy performing for an audience.

Understanding the Basics of Singing Seminar?

• Find out what "to sing" originally meant; almost no-one teaches this information today and it immediately changes even the way a professional sings!

•Train to be relaxed in front of any audience.

•Learn to sing perfectly "in pitch".

•Improve your breath control with simple drills.

•Discover the way the voice box really works.

•Find out how to visualize a sound before you sing it.

•Add interesting effects to your vocal repetoire.

•Train your voice to sing any syllable while maintaining the pitch of the sound.

•Master intervals by using special references to well-known pieces of music.

•Handle what are called vocal breaks or transitions in the singing voice.

•Increase the range of your singing voice.

Project your singing voice and improve the tonal quality.

•Learn to sight-sing so you can look at music and know how to sing it.

•Learn special vocal warm-up and cool-down exercises for the voice.

•Get a simple daily practice schedule that really works.

•Be given a manual containing all the information and drills.

•Be given a DVD containing demonstrations of all the drills.

•No claim is made that graduates are singing like Celine Dion or Pavrotti in only
a few hours but beginners understand how to sing and improve their singing on
a daily basis by the end of the seminar and professional singers are totally
amazed by the simplicity and effectiveness of this new approach to singing.

UNDERSTANDING OF SONGWRITING SEMINAR

SUCCESS STORY OF A SONGWRITING GRADUATE

Hi Duncan,
I just wanted to share my latest win with you.
A friend of a friend just hired me to help him write lyrics for a marketing campaign for his company. I blew him away with the volume and quality of lyrics I was able to generate in a very short period of time (little does he know what the volume actually was, since I only shared the best ones with him...). Of course I am using all the techniques I learned in your seminars, from the really good idea drill to the emotional response palette, and the ever popular 2 minute songwriting drill. This contract pays back more than I have spent on your seminars, so that's an ROI you can't argue with. Thank you for teaching me how to get paid for my music.
The more I work with your material the more powerful it becomes. And I tell everyone about it...

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Andrew Winig

WHAT GRADUATES ARE SAYING.....

"Duncan is truly the god of music teachers. My knowledge of chords and melody are going to help me fly like never before! This has truly been the most beautiful enlightening thing I've done with my musical career. The whole world needs this data!"                                                                                                               D.O.

"This seminar was great! It removed some of my creative barriers and rejuvenated my drive to write music. It made a complex subject simple and enjoyable"   A.W.

This gave me the exact tools that I need to write songs! I am so excited to be able to create and pursue my dream! It is amazing to me that songwriters actually write
without these tools!                                                                                            T.T

2007 Songwriting Seminar

The June 2007 Songwriting seminar
in the USA was a big success. It was held in the seaside town of Nahant, Massachusetts just outside of Boston. The weather was beautiful ad the setting was great. Don't miss next June!!

There are four Understanding of Songwriting Seminars scheduled for 2008. All places are strictly limited to graduates of the Understanding of Music Seminar. Says Duncan Lorien "every graduate of the songwriting seminar is creating completed songs in four minutes for each song by the

UNDERSTANDING OF MUSIC SEMINAR

There are fifteen Understanding of Music Seminars scheduled around
the world for 2008.
Says Duncan Lorien "every graduate of this seminar
knows the names of the tones on keyboard, guitar and how to work out the names of the tones on many other instruments, they know their scales, modes (a type of scale) and chords on both keyboard and guitar and have made an enormous leap forward in their coordination. This does not occur for some graduates but for every graduate!"

SUCCESS STORY OF A GRADUATE

This goes out to all you musical artists who think you don't need a seminar like Duncan Lorien's Understanding Music course. Well maybe
you don't. But take it from someone who has been a professional musician for 40 years and a successful and professional composer/songwriter for 30.
The one thing I have found to be true about the top composers and musicians in my field is they never stop learning. Of course if you have achieved everything you want and know you are a master in the area of music then this course is not for you. If however you want to increase your success as a musical artist you may want to do this course.
Even though I have music in over 30 films including an Academy Award nominee and Emmy winning shows, and I have scores and songs in
three animated TV series currently running, and I just finished the scores for two top Discovery channel specials; one on Lance Armstrong and another on the Titanic with James Cameron, I still found time to do Duncan's seminar.
You know why? Because he has what no other course offers. The most revealing information and truth regarding the real source of Western music as we know it. I have studied with some of the top composers on the planet.
I live in LA! They don't teach it. Duncan has spent his life researching and studying what this music with these 12 tones comes from. He has also combined this with some of the most advanced study technology anywhere. So no matter how much you think you know, you will know things you had no idea existed if you do Duncan's seminar.

I only say that because I want to impress upon you that you will be giving yourself a great gift by taking Duncan's seminar. I consider I have achieved some measure of success but I want to achieve more. I cleared up several major confusions while studying with Duncan. That was priceless.             So if you have any doubts, take it from someone who may appear not
to need it. DO DUNCAN'S COURSE!

                                         very best,

          Geoff Levin

MORE SEMINAR TRANSLATIONS ON THE WAY!

The Understanding of Music Seminar is currently translated into German, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish, and Czech. Work is now underway translating the seminar into Italian. Duncan Lorien would like to begin new translations of the seminar into other languages. If you know someone who may be interested in translating the seminar into other languages please contact the Understanding of Music Company.

UNDERSTANDING OF MUSIC SEMINAR MATERIALS REVISED

Duncan Lorien is constantly working on the seminar materials to make them as simple and logical as possible. Although graduates state that the materials are the best they have ever seen on the subject of music anywhere in the world Duncan always strives to make the information even easier. Duncan states that the latest 2007 edition of the seminar materials have taken the whole section on rhythm to a whole new level of simplicity. With new diagrams and text Duncan says that this is a huge improvement to the seminar and thanks each and every graduate of the seminar who he says are his inspiration for each new understanding of music leap forward. In all English speaking seminars there are now 100 free daily structured lessons included in the price of the seminar. Each attendee can select either 100 lessons for the keyboard or 100 lessons for the guitar.
